Taste

A note on making software in 2026.

Software used to be constrained by the cost of turning an idea into working code. In 2026, LLMs and coding agents have made that step dramatically cheaper. Code is abundant now.

When almost anyone can produce a functioning product, the differentiator shifts. The hard questions are what deserves to exist, what should be left out, and whether the result feels coherent and useful.

Implementation still matters. But taste applied consistently is the scarce input.
